- No. Dr Navindi Fernandopulle is a doctor who has worked in obstetrics and gynaecology in the UK NHS. She is not a consultant and is not on the specialist register. If you need a specialist, she will tell you.
- Will this get me pregnant?
- No consultation can promise that. What you get is a clear explanation of where you are and what to do next.
- Do I need a referral?
- No.
- Can I book for my wife, husband or daughter?
- Yes. Put the patient's name on the booking and your own mobile number if you prefer. The patient should be on the call. Dr Navindi Fernandopulle does not see children under two by video.
- Can both of us join the call?
- Yes. For fertility questions it usually helps if you both do.
- What do I need for the video call?
- A phone, tablet or computer with a camera, and a connection good enough for a video call. The link in your confirmation opens in your browser. Nothing to install.
- What if my connection drops?
- Rejoin with the same link. If it cannot be fixed, Dr Navindi Fernandopulle will phone you on the number you gave, or offer a new time.
- Which language?
- English and Sinhala. Choose when you book.
- How do I pay?
- By Visa or Mastercard, debit or credit, or with Google Pay, when you book. Apple Pay works only with cards issued outside Sri Lanka. The payment is taken by [Company name] Ltd (UK) through Stripe. Your bank will usually add a cross-border fee of about 3.5% to 4.5%, and credit cards carry a 2.5% stamp duty on foreign transactions; a debit card avoids the duty.
- Can I pay by Genie, FriMi or eZ Cash, or add it to my mobile bill?
- Not yet. You can pay by card or Google Pay. If you cannot pay by card, email [email] and we will tell you what we can do.
- What if I need to cancel?
- Use the link in your confirmation. More than 24 hours before: full refund or a free new time. Less than 24 hours: no refund.
- Will I get a prescription?
- Dr Navindi Fernandopulle gives advice. She will tell you what to ask your treating doctor about.
- Will I get something in writing?
- Yes. A summary within [n] working days, by email.
- Is it private?
- Yes. The call is not recorded. Your form and results are seen only by Dr Navindi Fernandopulle. How your information is handled is in the privacy notice.
- What if it is urgent?
- This is not an emergency service. Call 1990 (Suwa Seriya) or go to the nearest hospital.
- How do I complain?
